About Russell Brunson | Is He The Man to Follow in 2019 and Beyond?

0 10 Comments

There are a lot of names to know in the online world. Some are just successful people in the same business you’re in or looking to get into, that you might want to check out and see how they do it and others are focused on helping you achieve your online dreams.

Russell Brunson is a mix of both. Not only has he been successful in all sorts of online endeavors but he’s actually built an empire and tools dedicated to helping others achieve success as well.

As you progress through this article I’ll tell you more About Russell Brunson, introduce you to some of his books, talk about the various programs and platforms he’s either created or been an integral part of and even tell you about some in-person seminar options that you might want to look into.

Now don’t worry, you won’t need to sign up for, read or attend all of all the things I’m going to cover. Some of them actually kind of overlap one another. This is more to give you a better understanding of the man himself and the various offerings you may want to take advantage of.

Let’s begin…

So, Tell me About Russell BrunsonSo, Tell me About Russell Brunson

A brief synopsis is he’s a funnel god. The slightly longer version is that he’s created several popular books (including a USA Today Best Seller), co-founded a software company, popularized the sales-funnel concept and built a following of over one million (and growing) entrepreneurs.

At a young age, you could say that Russell was a bit of an oddball. He was more interested in TV and radio commercials and what the mail would bring than the music or show that was airing. He found marketing very appealing and opted into many business opportunities in order to study them and learn how to apply their teachings.

From there, Russell moved onto his college days and had a bit of success with his first how-to booklet that would “teach people how to make $40 every time their pager rang” and selling DVDs about how to make a potato gun. This success fired something inside of him and became an obsession.

Less than a year after graduating, he had made his first million and he wasn’t going to stop there. Russell sold pretty much everything you can think of; supplements, books, t-shirts, shakes, coaching and so on. He actually made the top sellers lists in several marketing companies, winning prizes and notoriety.

After learning everything he could from the various companies and materials he had access to, Russell went on to address the limitations of the tools currently available by creating his software company, with partner Todd Dickerson, ClickFunnels in 2014. That company grew to over $100 million and 55,000 customers in just three years’ time! That’s some serious growth.

Russell even created the 2 Comma Club to recognize and celebrate those who have achieved millionaire success through his teachings and services. As of 2018, there were 206 members.

Now Russell is a businessman and a successful one at that. Still, for every funnel that goes live within ClickFunnels, $1 is donated to building schools in Africa. It’s nice to see someone successful giveback.

Think of this book as a pretested list of winning templates. This reference is a must-have for beginners and advanced funnel users alike. It will help you understand the building blocks of a funnel and even help you to pick the right funnel for the product or service you’re trying to provide/sell. It has several diagrams that will help you to better understand the workings and get you up and running much quicker than doing it on your own.

These books have helped thousands and are great learning and reference tools. Check them out and see if any might be a good fit for you.

Now, onto the tools…

How About Programs and Platforms? How About Programs and Platforms?

So Russell has built a few tools and set up various platforms for you to learn about funnels and marketing. Here are a few you should take a look at…

Marketing Secrets

This is a free podcast that you can subscribe to and start learning how other entrepreneurs do marketing “the right way” and get their products and services to the masses while remaining profitable. Check it out. After all, it will only cost you your time.

ClickFunnels

This one is a funnel making beast. It’s all about building pages for your funnels easily using proven techniques and content all while making it easy by using a simple point and click interface and filling in a few fields.

ClickFunnels Facebook Group

Join this group, build relationships and share your experiences. This is a great place to work with like-minded entrepreneurs and learn from one another.

Funnel Hacker TV

This is a great video resource that’s constantly being updated with new content. It’s actually part of the Marketing Secret platform and worth the time to check out.

Two Comma Club

This site is all about the One Comma and Two Comma club members. If you qualify you can apply but, if no, you can still take a look and see a little information about those that are. It’s a great place to get inspiration.

There are even more products and services that Russell is part of but these should get you started. That said, here are reviews of three products I didn’t list above:

What is Funnel University?

Now, let’s see if you can actually see (if not meet) the man in-person…

Are There any In-Person Seminars? Are There any In-Person Seminars?

Yes, there are. Check out these opportunities to see him live…

FunnelHacking Live

This is an annual event where you will join thousands of others for this four-day conference and get top-notch marketing and sales training.

2 Comma Club Coaching

This one touts training from Russell’s team of funnel builder and traffic coaches to build your seven-figure message, offer and funnel. You’ll get group support and access to the masterminds.

Inner Circle for Life

This one will take some work to get access to as it’s only available to eight-figure entrepreneurs but it does give you direct one on one access to Russell. You can only obtain this access via application and referral.

Pay to Play

You can actually hire Russell and pick his brain but that brain doesn’t come cheap. Staring at a mere $10k, you can lunch with Russell (this price assumes you’ll be having lunch locally in Boise). If you want to hire him for a speaking engagement, that will start at $500,000 or 50% of the event sales (whichever is higher). Finally, you can have him actually build your funnel for you. This will only set you back $750,000 and 25% of the funnel’s gross sales for the lifetime of the funnel.

As you can see, there are several opportunities to see the man in person. Some are affordable where others might take a little work to be able to obtain. Either way you go, I’m sure the experience will be well worth it.

Conclusion

So, now you have a little more information About Russell Brunson and many the books, programs, platforms and sources of information available to you (like the Marketing Secrets podcast and Funnel Hacker TV). What do you think of him?

I really enjoyed reading this article. Online marketing is a tough horse to handle for the first time. All of the resources are spot on for anyone who is interested in small business success. I think the next movement will be the micro-videos/”stories” that have taken over social media. If anyone has any ideas on how to leverage micro, I’d sure like to see it.

    1. Scott Hinkle says:

      Hello,

You’re right about videos becoming the new movement.  Now that bandwidth in most places isn’t a concern, video has skyrocketed in popularity.  Still, the sales funnel is a very important part of doing business and Russell’s products and services go a long way to helping people reach their goals.

I’m sure more how-to’s on micro-video marketing will be popping up soon.

      Thank you,

      Scott

Hi, Scott, it’ll take an arm and a leg to get Russell to work for me, but still, it might just be worth the price. The guy knows what he’s talking about and has proven time and again to be perhaps the lead authority when it comes to marketing, both on and offline. He wouldn’t be in the position he’s in today if it wasn’t for his successes. It might take a bank loan and a mortgage forclosure, but he’d be worth it.

    1. Scott Hinkle says:

Although I share your enthusiasm, I’m not sure I’d go to those lengths to obtain his services.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure it’s worth it but I’d rather attend one of his seminars or buy/join one of his offerings like Funnel UniversityFunnel Scripts, etc.

His story is pretty cool and if anyone does have the chance to meet him and pick his brain, I highly recommend doing so.

Thanks for taking the time to comment,

      Scott

Russell Brunson’s name is definitely rising in popularity as time passes. I am actually using ClickFunnels myself and I can safely say that the platform offers some great potential to online marketers.

Although I would want to attend one of his seminars, I think that I am going to buy a book of his first. The 108 Proven Split Test Winners seems like the best for me as I really love split testing.

    1. Scott Hinkle says:

Nice, I love it when someone who uses a product related to what I’m writing about leaves a comment.  ClickFunnels has a great following and I’m glad to hear you seem to like it.

His books are great.  I actually don’t have the 108 split testing one myself but I do have Expert Secrets, DotCom Secrets, Marketing Secrets Blackbook, and The Funnel Hackers Cookbook.  They do contain excellent tips and advice for sure.

Keep me posted on your ClickFunnels results and let me know what you think of the 108 Proven Split Test Winners book when you get it.

      Thank you,

      Scott

  4. Andrew says:

Wow, he seems to have a lot of content and expertise, but I’d love to learn more about how effective his ideas have been to his followers.  Many of the legitimate books and stuff about these topics can only be used under specific conditions and business models.

Also, your video in the first section of the post doesn’t seem to be working.  I don’t even see a video, just a broken image icon.

    1. Scott Hinkle says:

      Hello,

He’s built quite an empire actually.  It’s true that some books and trainings are specific to a platform or a particular scenario.  That said, his books do provide a lot of helpful information but yet, they do tend to gravitate to his software platform ClickFunnels.

As for the video issue, I do use a plugin that pushes the loading of images and such off until you scroll to that location (i.e. it’s visible on your screen).  This is to make the site load faster for you initially.  I’m not sure if this is causing a problem with your browser or not.

I just tested using Safari, Firefox and Chrome on my Mac and all three were able to load and play the video.  Please try again and let me know if you’re still having issues.

      Thank you,

           Scott

Great review of a great figure. I’m intrigued at how he made so much as such a young age. This alone can drive me to become successful in my online business.

Of all the tools that I see that he has created, I think I have read a nice review on ClickFunnels and it’s really a great tool for everyone who wants to grow their online business.

I think I will get one of his books and be sure to come back and give a review. Thanks again for such an informative post.

    1. Scott Hinkle says:

      Thank you.

ClickFunnels is his pride and joy I think.  It has a huge user base and following.

I’d love to hear your review of one of his books when you’ve finished reading it.

      Thanks for commenting,

      Scott
